How to Calculate Fragrance in Reed Diffuser

Many people get confused about how to calculate how much oil to use in their reed diffusers, so we thought we’d clarify things for you...

You shouldn’t calculate your oil based on volume. CLP is calculated as a weight per weight (w/w) percentage, meaning you weigh both the fragrance oil and reed diffuser base.

If the maximum fragrance oil content was 15%, you would need to measure 15g of the fragrance oil and add it to 85g of diffuser base. This would mean that 15g of oil would be in every 100g of product.
